Kristine Leavitt, Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, Joins Las Vegas Neurosurgery Practice

Dr. Aury Nagy, a partner at Las Vegas Neurosurgery & Spine Care, has appointed Kristine Leavitt nurse practitioner for his neurosurgery practice. Leavitt also holds a master’s of science in nursing.

Las Vegas, Nevada (I-Newswire) October 3, 2012 - Dr. Aury Nagy, a partner at Las Vegas Neurosurgery & Spine Care, has appointed Kristine Leavitt nurse practitioner for his neurosurgery practice. Leavitt is a board certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) and holds a master’s of science in nursing (MSN) degree.

Prior to joining Nagy’s practice, Leavitt served as transplant services program coordinator for University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. She also served as an RN for both St. Rose Dominican Hospital and University Medical Center. She graduated magna cum laude with a master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and received her undergraduate degree from Nevada State College.

Dr. Aury Nagy is a board certified neurosurgeon with offices in Henderson, Southwest Las Vegas, Northwest Las Vegas and Bullhead City. In addition to his neurosurgery practice, he serves as Spine Committee Chair and Neurosurgery Section Chief for Spring Valley Hospital as well as an adjunct clinical faculty member for Touro University. He is also a product development consultant and Speakers Bureau clinical lecturer and educator for Integra Neurosciences.

Dr. Nagy is a frequent author on the subject of back pain and has participated in several research programs about spine and brain injuries. He was the first neurosurgeon in Nevada to place an artificial cervical disc in a patient and his deep brain stimulation procedures for Parkinson’s patients are well-regarded.

Dr. Nagy is also an active member of the Southern Nevada business community. In 2009, he was named one of the top “40 Under 40” business people under the age of 40 by Greenspun Media Group’s In Business Las Vegas publication. In 2010, Nevada Business magazine named him among Nevada’s “Top Business Leaders Under 40.” He has been named a “Top Doctor” by several local and national publications including Las Vegas Life magazine and AVVO.
