Kimberly Thompson And Stacey Tomkins Selected As Finalists For 14th Annual Women In Technology Leadership Awards

Women in Technology Awards Program honors two ASM Research leaders, Kimberly Thompson and Stacey Tomkins, for their extraordinary leadership, talent and mentorship in the technology community.

ASM announced that Kimberly Thompson and Stacey Tomkins have been selected as a finalist for Women In Technology's (WIT) 14th Annual Leadership Awards. The awards program honors professional women working in the Greater Washington, D.C. region who have exemplified unique vision, inspirational leadership and mentorship in the technology industry.

"This year we received many outstanding competitive submissions, but these finalists are true leaders in the industry," said Nancy Lamberton, President, WIT. "These women are not only leaders for their innovation, vision and successful business results, but also serve as role models and mentors to the next generation of professionals. We want to congratulate all the finalists for their outstanding work in the technology industry."

Kimberly Thompson, Vice President and Senior Program Manager at ASM, has been nominated in the Healthcare IT category for making great strides in innovation and technology health care. Ms. Thompson applies her extraordinary management principles to ASM's health care solutions programs for the Military Health Service.

Stacey Tomkins was selected in the Unsung Hero category honoring a woman who is managing major technology projects at the project manager level, working in the trenches daily, and making a major impact on technology. Ms. Tomkins has risen through the ranks from intern to Program Manager by creating an impressive track record of success. She is a role model for a staff of 25 IT professionals and analysts supporting major projects at the Army Headquarters level.

Ms. Lassiter was the 2011 recipient of the WIT Leadership Award.

WIT will announce the winners at the Leadership Awards Banquet on April 18, 2013 at Reston Hyatt in Reston, VA.
