Petaling Jaya, Selangor (I-Newswire) March 18, 2011 - Joel Levitt, author of 9 best-selling books on maintenance planning and scheduling has once again shone his knowledge and wisdom to 20 maintenance planners, engineers and schedulers in Jordan Aviation, hosted by none other than Kexxel Group.
Held in the Jordan Aviation Complex itself, this time the seminar was even more of an exclusive event as Kexxel Group was invited to organize an In House Training. The delegates who attended embarked on a journey towards a world class performance and we from Kexxel Group are happy to have provided Jordan Aviation with a top class training event.
This program enabled the delegates to be conversant with the techniques and procedures of effective planning and scheduling. They were also trained by Joel to coordinate the maintenance schedule with production control and operations. This new understanding will lead to better job plans and more effective scheduling.
“Joel was so good in explaining to us about the safety precautions involved as well as giving us apt information about the usage of proper tools,” remarked Yazan Ali Israwi, Maintenance Engineer.
Joel guided the delegates to not only perform better but also to accomplish jobs in a shorter period of time in a more efficient manner, all at a lower cost. The delegates were also aided to perform with little or no disturbances to enhance the longevity of their equipments in the plants.
“They way the trainer presented us with the materials were all very organized and professional. The slideshow was impressive and attractive, hence enabling us with better understanding of the subject,” said Dema Hani Mohamad, Planning Engineer.
Many of the delegates agreed that the main strength of this event was the teamwork that Joel had managed to incorporate. Everyone gets bored if they have to sit through a 2 day event listening to the trainer talk, talk and TALK! Luckily for the delegates, Joel conducted the training the smoothly by encouraging teamwork. He broke them up into groups to discuss real time problems. The delegates were seen discussing among their groups with their colleagues to come up with possible solutions.
The General Manager of Jordon Aviation, Hamzeh Moh'd Zuhair Al Khashman said, “The time management and the maintenance planning scope were very good coming from Joel.”
Almost all of the maintenance companies use a specific software to manage their maintenance department. Joel made sure he passed on the knowledge of proper set up and understanding of the system so that it will help the delegates to apply it in their profession.
Planning Engineer, Omar Mallad remarked, “Joel is very confident and knows how to deliver the course inserted with his humour! The whole event is absolutely PERFECT!”
Many of the delegates also gained in the aspect of calculations as Joel went through a clear and concise process of introducing a couple of metrics and the calculations of backlog.
Technical Services Team Leader Anas Fawwaz truly benefited from this event. “The event in general is good, focusing on the understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling. It aimed to find the gaps at work and actually work on them.”
