New York (I-Newswire) September 16, 2012 - Kevin Lint inked a global Licensing and Distribution deal with Innsbruck Records to promote “The Sand Reckoner” and “Story Problems” – two poignant compilations that will soon be offered for sale globally. Kevin Lint is an Americana singer-songwriter from a small logging town (Sedro-Woolley) 60 miles north of Seattle, Washington. He was raised in a musical family where gatherings featured guitars and sing-alongs to songs from Merle Haggard, Hank Snow and Johnny Cash. This tradition was handed down by his grandfather, a talented multi-instrumentalist respected by Country greats such as Tex Ritter. Kevin got his first guitar at age 16 and began writing songs influenced by his childhood including the likes of Tom Petty, Steve Earle and Mark Knopfler.
In 2008 Lint released a demo called Story Problems. The EP was immediately picked up by a variety of radio stations across the nation and found its way into multiple media outlets. Through radio, television and live performances, he was able to quickly build a loyal fan base and drew the interest of many industry professionals.
In 2012 he released a second album, “The Sand Reckoner” which further explored his Americana roots. With tracks such as “Broke Town” and “Bad Blood” – there is no denying his ability to create music as dynamic and interesting as it is thought provoking and original. Lint effortlessly guides the listener through a wide variety of feelings and settings from man and guitar Springsteen-esque tracks like “Good Advice” to beat-driven heartland tracks like “Don’t Wake Me Up.”
His writing talents extend beyond that of his traditional influences. Among Lint’s most recent accolades, he wrote lyrics to the song, “Doin’ me” by Seattle hip hop artist, JC Flow, used as the theme track for comedian Kevin Hart’s “Laugh at my Pain” tour (15,000,000 tickets sold) demonstrating a huge range in his creative writing abilities.
As a prolific and professional songwriter who has hundreds of songs in his library, Kevin is just starting to make waves as an artist. His ever growing list of loyal fans stay engaged and continually express their desire for more. To hear for yourself go to kevinlint.com or Kevin Lint Artist Page.
