Kelly Crane, CFP®, Celebrates 30 Years Reducing Risk, Protecting Clients' Wealth

After experiencing personal financial loss, Crane became a financial advisor to help others build a secure future through holistic wealth management. His success not only benefits his company, but the community where he lives through giving back.

Kelly Crane, CFP®, CLU, CFA, and Chief Investment Officer of Napa Valley Wealth Management, celebrates 30 years as a financial advisor and wealth manager. Crane was one of the first independent advisors in the Bay area to bring the tactical analysis of large, institutional investors to individual clients. Leading a firm with $175MM in assets under management, his unique, personal approach considers every area of clients' finances to reduce risk in order to achieve more income-producing opportunities.

"I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to help so many families achieve their financial goals during difficult times," says Crane. His passionate approach to custom and holistic wealth management stems from his own family's devastation: "My mother lost our entire family nest egg in the 1980s, due to very bad investment advice on a 'hot tip.'" As a result, Crane became focused on balancing risk and return to help people save needless loss through strong planning. "I became a wealth manager to prevent this for families. Seeing the burden lifted has been very fulfilling."

Crane is also an active community member in the East Bay and Napa Valley, with a vision to help strengthen communities. He is a member of the St. Helena Chamber and Schools Foundation Endowment Trust Board, the Clayton and the Concord Optimist Club, and the East Bay chapter of the Financial Planning Association. Crane has been a major sponsor of Wine, Women and Shoes, which benefits women's and children's charities, and the president of St. Helena Rotary Club where his main goal is to "strengthen Napa Valley by expanding our outreach to those less fortunate."
