KBE Building Corporation Donates $1,250 to St. Francis Hospital and the Bright Minds Foundation

KBE Building Corporation (KBE) has donated $500 to a Maryland children’s charity and $750 to a Connecticut hospital’s Child Advocacy Center.

Farmington, CT (I-Newswire) January 10, 2013 - KBE Building Corporation (KBE) has donated $500 to a Maryland children’s charity and $750 to a Connecticut hospital’s Child Advocacy Center. Both donations were given as part of KBE’s fourth annual 50 Ways to Make a Difference charitable giving program.

KBE’s 50 Ways to Make a Difference, launched in 2009 to celebrate KBE’s 50th year in business, formalizes the construction company’s 50+ year legacy of charitable giving, and focuses on providing support for children, seniors, and military personnel. The annual program is funded by both significant corporate donations as well as donations and volunteer time contributed by KBE’s 120+ employees. Since 2009, the firm, its owners and its employees have donated more than $600,000 and 5000+ hours of volunteer time to support agencies and causes in the communities where the firm works or its employees live.

The Bright Minds Foundation, based in Columbia, MD, is an independent non-profit organization that supports academic initiatives for children in the Howard County Public School system. It was formed to address equity and equality, give access to educational offerings, promote educational innovation, and support skills that serve students throughout their lives.

The Greater Hartford Children's Advocacy Center at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut serves children who are suspected victims of abuse. The center provides pre-trial support and treatment for 400 children and 700 to 800 parents and/or caregivers each year.
