Online, March 4, 2014 (Newswire.com) - KBE Building Corporation has completed construction for a $14.5 million, 57,000 square-foot commissary in Groton, Connecticut. The Farmington-based company served as general contractor for the on-budget project, which was ready two months ahead of schedule.
Located on Crystal Lake Road in Groton, Connecticut, The New London (Groton) Commissary provides twelve aisles' worth of groceries sold to military families at cost plus 5%. The facility includes a general sales area, electronic checkout registers, loading dock and receiving area, meat and produce preparation areas, cold and freezer storage, and other support areas.
KBE is proud that the Groton Commissary will help military members and their families save more than thirty percent compared to groceries sold at commercial supermarkets.
