Paris (I-Newswire) April 11, 2011 - SecureJet Enterprise 7.0 can define, enforce and easily monitor print/copy policies, simplify printer and MFP usage through pull printing, protect valuable information and print assets through authentication while providing complete tracking and reporting.

With an embedded solution for both HP and Canon MFP/Ds and printers, SecureJet Enterprise makes deployment and management easier for IT. SecureJet Enterprise helps LOB and IT customers reduce cost, waste, CO² impact and security concerns, while complying with regulations, and increasing worker productivity associated with printing and imaging.

New features in SecureJet 7.0:

* SecureJet Track-GreenSaver

· Track-GreenSaver makes it possible to monitor printers and MFP/Ds from a web-based platform providing detailed job accounting and usage reports. With the intelligent rules based printing restrictions, rules can be put in place to education and/or control end user print behavior. The usage quotas functionality will help control spending and keep cost under tight control. If pre-payment is required Track-GreenSaver can implement cost based access to Copy and print. Ultimately Track-GreenSaver gives the necessary business knowledge of the print environment to reduce spending, improve user efficiency and provide audit trail for governmental regulations and industry compliance purposes.

* Tracking

· With SecureJet Enterprise’s embedded tracking data collection can be extended beyond print to include MFP/D usage. Accurate reporting of device usage can provide the necessary information to control costs, optimize the print environment and forecast device related spend.

* Dual Factor Authentication

· Dual factor authentication for MFP badge access provides a second layer of security by requiring users to enter a code during the Proximity badge authentication and authorization process.

* Individual User Rights

· Through SecureJet Enterprise’s individual rights functionality user or user groups can be give specific permissions on device usage and printing. Permissions can be such that an individual can access a specific MFP/D functionality such as Fax while another user is restricted from using the functionality. Groups of users can be granted color print access while another group is limited to monochrome only printing. The combinations of permissions are highly customizable to the business requirements.

* Multivendor Product Support.

SecureJet Enterprise 7 has expanded beyond HP to now support Canon printers and MFDs. Jetmobile is continuing to expand the support of other printer vendors, look for more to come.
