Jefferson County Broadcasts to Channel 17 With Help From Specialized Communications/Noventri

Smithsburg, MD (I-Newswire) November 22, 2011 - The Jefferson County Commission, located in West Virginia, just introduced the unveiling of the Local Government Channel 17 to residents of the county with help from Specialized Communications Corporation, a national broadcast and professional video service and sales center and parent company to Noventri.

The cable channel intends to run County Commission meetings, Planning Commission meetings as well as information from municipalities and local non-profit organizations. The channel will provide residents an opportunity to see what is going on in Jefferson County and make local government more transparent.

This project was long time in the making; with initial efforts beginning ten years ago, but the County Commission is excited to finally get things going through assistance from Specialized Communications Corporation, along with Comcast, to lay the foundation by getting the necessary equipment in place for the project to move forward.
