JCQ Celebrated 49th Birthday Of King Abdulla-II With Mega Event

Doha, Qatar (I-Newswire) January 27, 2011 - The Jordanian Community of Qatar celebrated the 49th birthday of King Abdulla-II with great enthusiasm followed by musical show of legendary artist Diana Curzon. The celebrations, which were organized at home of Dr. Naseer Homoud- JCQ Support Committee Chairman, who is also IIMSAM Goodwill Ambassador and Director of its Middle East Office, lasted late night.

The community members highlighted the importance of King on their lives. They remembered how the King is giving every moment of his life for ultimate benefit of Jordan and making Jordan a nation which shares multifaceted cooperation with other nations. The gathering joined hands to mark this special day and resolved unconditional support for King Abdulla. A massive ceremony was organized to commemorate this day and hundreds of community member attended this event which also because very special because of live performance of Diana Curzon.

In his speech on the occasion Dr. Homoud said “we salute this special night to celebrate the birthday of His Majesty, King Abdullah Bin Al Hussein, who has been in support of his children, care and diligence to provide the best health and education services to Jordanians. He went on to say “His Majesty is the role model and inspiration of Jordanian youths. The King, since he ascended the throne a decade ago, underlined the importance of building a modern Jordan based on equality and the sovereignty of law in a bid to raise the living standards of Jordanians and to achieve the desired economic development”.

Dr. Homoud further stated that vision of His Majesty for the future of Jordan is focused on investing in the Jordanian citizens, creating job opportunities for the youths and in institutionalizing participation of Jordanians in the decision-making process, which has brought transparency in local governance and accountability as its foundation. He further said that under His Majesty direction the government worked to implement economic initiatives and to promote the role of the private sector to achieve sustainable economic development and to create job opportunities for Jordanians. Congratulating His Majesty he said “starting with policy and ending with sports you have been the first and the best, you have been and will always be inspiring us to make the change in our great nation and to develop it to be the best country ever, you have been showering us with peace, prosperity, safety and warmth and we thank you for this- from core of our hearts”.

Dr. Homoud on this occasion also highlighted the fact that Jordan has achieved success in every spectrum and this is only possible because of visionary leadership of His Majesty. The support to humanity works, developing educational infrastructures, bringing Jordan to recognition of world community in such a short span of time denotes the sincerity and devoting of His Majesty.
