Jayen Patel joins the pain management team at Ascendant Neuro to its Tulsa practice. Dr. Patel will help treat individuals who suffer from chronic migraine pain.

Dallas, TX (I-Newswire) June 28, 2011 - DALLAS, TX-– Ascendant Neuro announced today that Jayen Patel, M.D. has joined the elite consortium of world-class physicians at Ascendant Neuro Tulsa. Dr. Patel, who is board certified in anesthesiology, has devoted his distinguished career to pain management—including neurostimulation, ultrasound guided nerve blocks and leg pain associated with venous insufficiency. His considerable expertise also includes the treatment of migraine pain using nerve stimulation, laser spine surgery and stem cell transplants. Most recently, Patel has served as the principal at the Oklahoma Pain & Wellness Center.

During his final year at Boston University, Patel participated in medical missions to his homeland—Kenya.

Patel continued his medical training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan, New York where he completed one year of general surgery training. He specialized in anesthesiology at New York University.
