Woodstock native and influencial artist Jamie Barthel of Lotus Fine Art & Design
has been chosen by Mostly Glass Gallery to have her work featured at the Annual International Expositions of Sculpture Objects & Funtional Art Show, also known as SOFA in Chicago this November.

At SOFA exhibitions, prominent international galleries and dealers present masterworks bridging the worlds of design, decorative and fine arts, showcasing the rich visual heritage of the decorative arts alongside new, innovative expressions. The works presented bridge historical periods, art movements and cultures, to the most cutting-edge contemporary arts and design. The expositions also feature an acclaimed Lecture Series and educational Special Exhibits.

Sami Harawi of Mostly Glass Gallery in Englewood, NJ, stumbled into Barthel's gallery, Lotus Fine Art & Design on Rock City Road in Woodstock. He was pleasantly surprised to find her beautiful reverse hand-painted glass illuminating the entire space and immediately asked her to show at the SOFA show through his gallery. Mostly Glass has been to the SOFA show 10 times in its 12 years in business.

Jamie Barthel's passion for painting has grown from an art career that spans twenty-five years. With a background in Graphic Art & Textile Design, and an education in Fine Art & Psychology, Jamie's passion for painting has been a constant since she was just a toddler.

Most recently, Jamie has focused most of her creative energy into being the exclusive designer of her own line of reverse painted pendant chandeliers, lamps, sconces, and lanterns. Her collection is ever growing and ever changing.
