Hosted by "Mind Over Man" Jim Karol and musician Waka Flocka, black-tie event featured inspirational stories of brain recovery, dinner and entertainment at Miami's Temple House
Miami Beach's legendary The Temple House set the stage for a night of inspiration and entertainment as Miami visionary "DJ" Dieuveny Louis, founder of ItsPurelyMental.com, a new social brain training website launching nationwide in spring 2014 hosted The Dream, a black-tie fundraiser in support of brain research on Dec. 14.
Beneficiaries included the International Brain Research Foundation, a 501c3 public charity dedicated to helping individuals with brain conditions, and Lighthouse Foundation, a local organization whose mission is to assist children and their families in South Florida who struggle with educational, financial and medical hardships.
The Dream started with a cocktail hour, followed by a three-course dinner with wine service. Guests learned about the powers of brain training as former coma patients shared their remarkable stories of revival and recovery. Live entertainment included world-renowned pianist ELEW and a special guest DJ, who provided upbeat music for attendees to dance the night away.
The evening was hosted by Mind Over Man Jim Karol, America's foremost memory and brain training expert recognized for his incredible memory and unusually high brain capacity, and Juaquin Malphurs, better known as musician Waka Flocka, a rapper from Atlanta committed to building community by giving back. Karol is known for his work helping wounded soldiers, autistic children and others with his proprietary brain training techniques, and he was recently appointed spokesperson for the International Brain Research Foundation.
Orchestrated by Miami visionary "DJ" Dieuveny Louis, with attorney Robert Zarco, of Zarco, Einhorn, Salkowski & Brito, as event chair, The Dream benefited the International Brain Research Foundation, which serves as a platform for support of, and collaboration with, leading neuroscientists and research institutions around the world. The objective is to create, operationalize, validate, and disseminate diagnostic and treatment protocols derived from innovative, novel research and translate those protocols into clinical practice for implementation with individuals afflicted with disorders, diseases and injuries of the brain. The foundation has been successful in awakening 43 of 52 coma patients with its remarkable technology.
