Irish Dentists Expanding Into Cosmetic Treatments Such As Botox and Fillers

birmingham (I-Newswire) August 9, 2011 - Dentists in Southern Ireland are increasingly offering botox (which relaxes facial wrinkles so giving a younger looK) and other cosmetic non-surgical treatments along with managing teeth.

This aspect of dentistry in Ireland seems now catching up with what is occurring elsewhere in the world, such as the US and England and Wales. This in part may be due to increasing acceptable of cosmetic clinic type procedures as well as reductions in state dental schemes. Furthermore, the momentum of the growing number of dental clinics offering these botox and dermal filler treatments generates further interest from those dental practices that do not. Some women are reluntant to inform to their partners of botox and other cosmetic treatments and a receipt from the dentist is a good way of covering things up.
As there is a limited number of places in Southern Ireland offering such treatments, the prices then to be higher than those in Northern Ireland. A survey by the Irish Independent found that the price of Botox treatment in the Republic ranges from €199 to €310 per area treated.
