Internet Start Up Flimmit is a Finalist for the Red Herring 100 Europe Award

(I-Newswire) May 19, 2010 - Vienna, 19 May 2010 – The Austrian Internet start up Flimmit is a finalist for this year’s „Red Herring Europe 100 Award“, a prestigious list honouring the year’s most promising private technology ventures from the European business region. The Red Herring editorial team selected the most innovative companies from a pool of hundreds from across Europe. Companies in the telecommunications, security, Web 2.0, software, hardware, biotech and clean industries can compete for the award. The nominees are evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy, and integration into their respective industries. The „Red Herring Europe 100“ list is an invaluable instrument for discovering and advocating the greatest business opportunities in the industry.

Flimmit awarded for innovation for the second time
Founded in 2008 Flimmit hereby receives an award for innovation for the second time. In December 2009 Flimmit was awarded second place at the ESTC (European Semantic Technology Conference) for the Film Search in the category of “most innovative business idea”. The Film Search was launched on www.flimmit.com in April this year.
