Inspirational singer/songwriter Kristine performed "The Star Spangled Banner" prior to the Sugar Land Skeeters taking the field in their final series of the season against the York Revolution on Thursday night. The lady Skeeters fans ruled the night as Ladies Night was the theme for the September 20th home game. More than 6,000 Skeeters fans were estimated to be in attendance at Constellation Field. Kristine states, "I was honored to be given an opportunity to sing the national anthem during the final series of the Sugar Land Skeeters inaugural season."
Kristine who is originally from Saginaw, Michigan has lived in Fort Bend County for a little more than two years. She is currently working on new music for her upcoming CD, entitled Something to Sing About, which is scheduled for release in October. The CD promises to be a compilation of songs meant to uplift and inspire. Kristine explains, "The songs on the CD are from my real life experiences put into words and shared with the world to help them get through their struggles." And with its uplifting vibe that is exactly what this CD does from the dancing retro feel of the title single, "Something to Sing About," to the sweeping gospel ballad "I Need You" this project is full of spirit filled music that is positive and inspirational. "I want to remind people to look at the bright side of things in their lives...to find it, celebrate it and focus on what's positive." Something to Sing About will be available next month on iTunes and on Kristine's website at www.KristineMusic.com .
The multitalented singer and songwriter's love of singing began at the tender age of four. She is known as the singer with the golden voice and the million dollar smile. Although Kristine's mainstay is inspirational and gospel music her voice knows no limits for musical style. She has the ability to perform a wide range of genres from classical, gospel, jazz, and everything in between. Last year she released her first independent project Home for Christmas honoring our US troops. The CD introduced two original Christmas songs "Christmas Day" and "Home for Christmas" written by Kristine and her husband Steve Trigg. Kristine was formerly signed with the Malaco Records imprint label, J-Town Records. Her first release charted on Billboard's Hot 100 R&B singles chart in the 90s. Kristine eagerly anticipates the release of her upcoming CD along with additional performance opportunities throughout Houston and surrounding areas.
