All this inspired me to further explore the use of gold, silver, copper, pearl and bronze beyond its conventional use and search the tremendous possibilities hidden in these colours.”

Prem Singh has grown up admiring Indian artists who paint mukats, ornaments, garments, and borders in the art of miniature painting. In his canvases at display on IndianArtCollectors.com, the viewer would be fascinated with the use of gold, silver, copper, bronze and pearl — in as varied a manner as possible. About Prem Singh

Born in Patiala, Punjab, Prem Singh has always been fascinated by the shining and sparkling things around. He mostly plays with a single colour and outline them with charcoal. He has about 10 solo exhibitions and over 50 group exhibitions to his credit. Prem Singh is the Former Principal of the Government College of Art, Chandigarh, Ex-Member, Advisory Committee, National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, Ex-Member, General Council, National Academy of Art, New Delhi, Ex-Member, General Council, North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala. He is also a regular with organizing camps and has been bestowed with Triennale India International Award and The Saatchi Gallery London Your Studio Award in 1994 and 2007 respectively. With his collections at numerous museums and art galleries, Prem Singh was also the Jury member of the 42nd National Exhibition of Art, LKA, New Delhi, 2001, Commissioner, Eleventh Triennale India, 2005, LKA, New Delhi 2003
and Commissioner/Curator, Art India, Sri Lanka, 2006.
