The limit for actions in Small Claims Court increased from $10,000 to $25,000 in Ontario.

Ontario (I-Newswire) January 5, 2011 - The limit for the Small Claims Court in Ontario increased to $25,000 effective January 1st, 2010. This increase in the limit recognizes the costs and time commitment of litigation and enhances access for self represented individuals or others to the justice system. It recognizes the need within this dollar range to have access to justice while not being required to incur significant legal costs.
