IMT Nagpur’s ‘MINI-MBA’ For SME Entrepreneurs To Begin On 26th Sept. 2012

Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur is organising the second Certificate Course on Small Enterprise Management (SEMAP) for aspiring small-scale entrepreneurs.

Nagpur (I-Newswire) October 26, 2012 - Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur is organising the second Certificate Course on Small Enterprise Management (SEMAP) for aspiring small-scale entrepreneurs. The 26-week course, being conducted in collaboration with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), is customised to help prospective entrepreneurs to develop necessary skills.

"This will be an opportunity for aspiring start-up entrepreneurs to gain knowledge about many aspects of business, including its financial management, where I believe many of us lack skills. It is a course which is very special and extremely close to our hearts. A lot of effort has been put in by our expert faculty and the Centre of Excellence in Entrepreneurship at IMT Nagpur, to customise the curriculum to the requirements of start-up ventures and existing Small and Medium Enterprises. A large number of management institutes produce MBAs who are trained for the corporate sector and the curriculum by and large does not address issues on enterprise start-up, survival and scaling up. Such PGDMs or MBAs may not be adequate for small and start-up enterprises where the business model is still evolving, or where an entrepreneur needs to spot and evaluate growth and scaling up options in a systematic and planned manner. SEMAP addresses this shortfall in the management education space.
