The Institute Of Management Technology , Ghaziabad (IMT Ghaziabad) has initiated an international internship programme by tying up with Indonesia's leading business school, the Sampoerna School of Business (SSB). The objective of the international internship programme is to offer students global exposure, a better profile and research-based opportunities. The international internship programme offers students research-based projects, the learning of concepts in a practical manner and has been designed to offer students an opportunity to visit other countries and work in their relevant areas.

SSB is one of the verticals of Putera Sampoerna Foundation, Indonesia, which is dedicated to the development of high caliber future leaders in ASEAN. SSB takes a practice-oriented approach to business education and offers excellence and innovation through rigorous academic research, teaching and consulting. For this internship programme, students are chosen after a strict evaluation process, and they get an opportunity to work on their project for durations of 9-12 weeks. The projects are available in various specialisations like marketing, finance and human resource. A monthly stipend is also paid to students during the internship programme.

Dr. Jayathi Ranjan, Chairperson of the International Relations Committee at IMT Ghaziabad , said, "Management students are supposed to have global exposure to understand the business environment properly and excel in their work. For the whole duration of the internship, students live in another country and work their way. This not only makes them learn different social and work cultures, but also respect cross-cultural variety. This internship programme with SSB is a step in this direction."
