IDGI Participates In Charity Volleyball Tournament To Raise Money For Operation Smile
IDGI participated in a charity volleyball tournament to raise money for charity. The President of the company and members of the organization joined companies from across the country to help raise $1600 for the cause.
Online, July 5, 2011 (Newswire.com) - IDGI, Inc. joined several firms across the country in a national volleyball tournament for Operation Smile. The company and several of its members traveled to Miami, FL for the event and helped raise over $1500 for the cause.
IDGI is a sales and marketing firm located in Minneapolis, MN. The company is hired by Fortune 500 clients and specializes in client acquisition, retention and new business negotiation. IDGI is constantly involved in philanthropy and became involved with Operation Smile in the summer of 2010.
Operation Smile is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 in West Virginia. The organization was established by Dr. William Magee Jr., a plastic surgeon, and his wife, Kathleen, a nurse and clinical social worker. Since inception the foundation has helped more than 135,000 children by correcting their cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.
IDGI was invited to a client conference in Miami Beach where they were able to join members of over 100 vendors companies across the nation in a round robin tournament. The teams were divided into a maximum of 8 people with a maximum of 6 people on the court at one time.
The points were totaled at the end of each 15 minute rally and then teams were rotated to another court. The team with the most accumulated points was claimed the winner.
Teams paid a $100 entry fee to play in the tournament. Collectively, a total of $1,600 was raised and donated.

IDGI, Inc. plans to volunteer with Operation Smile again before the end of the year to help contribute to funding a mission.
