Icon-ik.com Launches For Lovers Of New Trends, Art And Music

icon-ik builds cult reputation among global art and music lovers shortly after it launches in London.

London (I-Newswire) August 31, 2011 - icon-ik.com is a new online magazine that was recently launched in London for new music, art and trend lovers everywhere.

It provides interviews with international cutting-edge artists, designers and musicians, and has already built a cult reputation among art and music lovers around the globe.

Frustration with the limitations of fashion ezines, music magazines and entertainment listings formed the impetus for the new interactive website, says its editor.

The site provides links to music tracks, videos and an online store selling an "art" clothing range.

The new online hub was inspired by Malcolm Gladwell's concept in the Tipping Point of a maven. Gladwell used the term to describe an avid collector of cultural information that can inform new trends and identify new and emerging trends.

Above all, it aims to be a one-stop site at which to explore cool new trends and art, listen to new music and find out new, fun ideas about quirky things to do and events to attend.

Founded by a journalist and artist, the ethos behind icon-ik is to inject fun and exploration into daily life.

The latest subjects covered on icon-ik.com include:

A video interview/ performance with Frenchtele’s modern artist Tony Bears
A sign of things to come – an interview with artist Pakpoom Silaphan on transformation and iconography, as well as being mistaken for a drug dealer
