IAPAM Announces 2010 Dates for Aesthetic Medicine Symposiums Showcasing Botox Training

The IAPAM offers the most up-to date, hands-on, enduring medspa training program in the industry. Today, the IAPAM announces the 2010 dates for its renowned Aesthetic Medicine Symposium series.

(I-Newswire) October 20, 2009 - Even in these economic times, the number of patients turning to minimally invasive procedures like: Botox, dermal filler injections, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels is increasing. To assist physicians in entering the aesthetic medicine field, the Aesthetic Medicine Symposium was designed by physicians for physicians who are looking at adding aesthetic medicine procedures to their existing practices, start a medical spa, or act as a medical director at a MedSpa. The IAPAM has integrated the most important clinical and business aesthetic medicine training into the creation of the Symposium. Furthermore, since obesity is on the rise, the IAPAM has recently included a Medical Weight Loss section (including hCG, B6/12, and the pharmacology of weight loss) in the program.

Dr., Jennifer Linder, faculty member of the IAPAM, says "any effective training program should provide tips on how to give an effective consultation with each patient. This should include a thorough evaluation of the individual characteristics of the face, a comprehensive discussion with the patient regarding risks and benefits, and most importantly, how to appropriately set and manage realistic patient expectations." The IAPAM's Symposium covers all these critical areas.

Another competitive advantage offered by the IAPAM, is that the Symposium gives physicians an opportunity to learn from two board-certified dermatologists, who are true experts of the skin and cosmetic injectables. In order to ensure attendees learn the best injection techniques, the botox training is done at a medical practice, not in a hotel room chair. In addition, the Symposium does not allow exhibitors, giving doctors more time for education. Furthermore, the IAPAM's Aesthetic Practice Startup Workshop is the only medical spa program highlighting the latest information on medspa business development and social media marketing as taught by Harvard Business School. Finally, to compliment the hands-on training during the Symposium, registrants receive a 3 DVD aesthetic medicine procedure training series, hosted by Dr. Marc Scheiner, which covers: Botox training, dermal filler training, and microdermabrasion training. A preview of this training can be viewed on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Of-jMxVNLOY.

To date, over 600 physicians as well as their accompanying medspa managers, registered nurses, and assistants have attended the IAPAM's Aesthetic Medicine Symposiums, and now the IAPAM continues this series in 2010. The following dates have been announced for next year's Aesthetic Medicine Symposiums in Scottsdale, Arizona:

February 20-22, 2010;
March 27-29, 2010;
April 24-26, 2010; and
June 5-7, 2010.

Doctors who have attended the Aesthetic Medicine Symposium testify to its value. One doctor admits, “I spent $35,000 on a consultant and received less information than what I received over the weekend.” Specifically, the Symposium includes:

The latest trends in aesthetic medicine and how to use them to your advantage.
Steps on how to integrated medical aesthetics procedures into your practice or build a patient base.
How to perform aesthetic patient consultations.
How to add the most profitable cosmetic injectable procedures, including: Botox®, and dermal fillers (i.e. Juvederm®, Restylane®, and Perlane®), chemical peels, and physician directed skin care.
Hands-on Botulinum Toxin Type A (i.e. Botox®, Dysport®) training .
Hands-on IPL / laser training.
Hands-on medical microdermabrasion training.
Maximizing profits by offering Chemical Peels and Physician-grade
Cosmeceutical Skin Care lines.
Includes a CD with the following: Patient Medical History Consultation Forms; Hair removal, Botox, Dermal Filler, Laser, and Chemical peel Consent Forms you can customize for your practice; typical start-up costs spreadsheets, and aesthetic medicine marketing resources.

Another doctor raves, "the support you get from the IAPAM afterwards definitely makes the course different than the others." Indeed, the benefits from attending an IAPAM Symposium and membership in the IAPAM endure beyond the weekend, including:

Access to the IAPAM's impressive member only web resource portal, containing all the resources an aesthetic physician would require.
Access to over 70 AMA CAT 1 PRA Aesthetic Medicine CME’s.
Advanced Hands-On Aesthetic Medicine Training: Botox training, Dysport training, Advanced Dermal Filler training (Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane), cosmetic laser training, chemical peel training, microdermabrasion training, ultrasound and laser liposuction training, medical spa business training.
