I’m Catholic Cool Celebrates International Day

Atlanta (I-Newswire) August 21, 2011 - “I’m cooking Ducuna and Plantains” says Bridget C Lewis, co-founder of I’m Catholic Cool and native of Antigua, British West Indies.

International Day at Christ Our Hope Parish in Lithonia, Georgia is an annual celebration of cultural diversity in the Catholic church. Parishioners from across the globe share their food, clothes, music, and dances throughout the campus.

“Most of the media outlets have been covering the WYD activities in Madrid, Spain. However, there are many exciting activities here that all of the parish families enjoy. The parade of countries is quite spectacular,” says J, a native London, England and host of the television show Talk Time Africa.

Young or old, Asian or African, Grandpa or baby girl, it’s all about celebrating your faith in your own style. Plus, I think Ray Hunt (native Jamaica) is doing the music, and if E. Walter Smith shows up (native Shaker Heights, Ohio) there is bound to be a flash mob doing “The Cross” (line dance) to I’m Catholic Cool!”
