WARP Services, WARP Energy, and WARP Mobility On Friday, prepared for a hurricane hundreds of miles away. Generator hookups for seniors at no charge. Just one call and we will help.

Patrick LaRive said "the Mobility company received a call from the NC, VA and New York Assistance Groups for support in response for clean up service providers for assisted living centers for mobility care for patients in their homes and asking for help in anticipation of post-Hurricane Irene cleanup. From In response, WARP Services from the Charlotte service area packed their gear and awaiting the drive to NC, VA or New York coast".

“We never refuse to help another senior mobility group, or a senior or handicap vehicle in need or a with a patient in need” LaRive said.

Hurricane Irene is supposed to hit the East Coast on Saturday morning and last through Sunday afternoon. Hurricane preparedness groups on the coast have contacted WARP Services Friday, reaching out through service groups that are suspected to be overwhelmed with the floods and power outages.

Patrick LaRive stated Saturday “ when a oxygen Concentrator is wet by flood waters, rain and in the battery backup mode or on ac power the system can become contaminated.

WARP offers system sterilization on ALL Medical equipment, beds, O2 equipment, medical respirators it doesn’t matter.

LaRive also stated the trucks are equipped with chainsaws and chains to remove debris from customer homes for access. Our engineers are Carpenters, Plumbers, Mechanical engineers. There is nothing our boys cannot do!

Once there, the crews will receive safety training by CEO LaRive before being sent to the hardest-hit areas of the region. LaRive said the crews plan to stay for 10-14 days or longer to assist East Coast utility companies and are anticipating widespread power outages as a result of Irene and WARP Robotics will assist those home getting emergency generators hooked up for the needs of the patient.

WARP officials said some of the employees who volunteered to go to North Carolina on Friday had previous experience helping with post-hurricane power restoration efforts. Some had gone to Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
