Humboldt Gymnasts Takes State Championship
Mackenzie Hall of Fortuna earned her Level 5 State Champion title with her great performance in all categories, especially floor and all-around.
Online, April 22, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Gymnast Mackenzie Hall from the HealthSPORT Fortuna Gymnastics team was named Level 5 State Champion at the 2014 Xcel NorCal State Championship on April 6.
The State Championship for Levels 3, 4 and 5 was held in Loomis at Byers Roseville Gymnastics Club on April 5 and 6. Five Humboldt gymnasts from the HealthSPORT team competed.
Mackenzie had her best meet of the year and faced her toughest competition. She earned 1st place in the all-around and the floor routine and 3rd place in beam, bars and vault. Her coaches and her team are extremely proud of her for earning the title Level 5 2014 State Champion.
Fellow Level 5 gymnast Katie Hurst also performed well, earning 2nd place on bars and 7th place on all-around.
For Level 3 gymnasts Rosalie Gonzalez and Saige Grundman, it was their first time competing at the state level. They performed well and came home with their best all-around scores yet. Level 3 gymnast Cadence Lommori earned 2nd place on bars, 3rd place on floor, and 2nd place on all-around.
