HTC Hero to get Android 2.1 update by April 2010

HTC Hero mobile phones were expected to get their Android 2.1 (Eclair) updates by December 2009. Then the date was extended to March 2010.

HTC Hero (www.mobilerainbow.org/others/htc-hero.html) mobile have been one of the most highly successful mobile phones offered by the company in the market. These cellphones have been liked and now preferred by many users and has been a source of great competition to the other smartphone manufacturers in the market. Being smartphones regular updates are needed to keep the handsets ready and capable of handling the latest developments in mobile technologies across the globe.

The company had mentioned that the new Android 2.1 and the latest Sense UI were to be part of all the future HTC devices produced by the company. The announcement was made in the Mobile World Congress HTC by the CEO of the company. The updates were expected in December 2009 but that as we all know did not happen. Then the updates were expected to be ready for downloads in March 2010 but now the expected dates have been extended to April 2010 but still nothing has been assured yet

Customers are in various types of emotions. Some are angry while other are frustrated and loosing belief in the company. Others have decided to never buy HTC mobile phones ever again and will most probably switch to other smartphone manufacturers like Google Nexus among a host of other's presently in the market. The company also plans on launching some new Android mobile phones in the market but most probably their releases will be postponed as well.

Lets just hope the updates are online as fast as possible.
