About the Director: Jose Poernomo started his career as a music video director and helmed more than 200 music videos for most major Indonesian recording company such as Sony Music, BMG, and Warner. Jose then made the horror movie titled "Jelangkung" (English: "Uninvited") which was released in 2001 and became an unprecedented big hit in the Indonesian box office. Continuing his belief that all horror movies need to be based on Indonesian urban legend, Jose went on to make the horror movie titled "Rumah Kentang," which became the # 1 highest grossing horror movie in Indonesia for 2012. In 2013, Jose took on the challenge to make a film inspired by the most famous Indonesian urban legend- which many have tried and failed. Based on the true legend of Nyi Roro Kidul, the spirit of the Queen of the South Sea that supposedly lives in room 308 in Samudra Hotel, Jose along with producer Rocky Soraya (who also collaborated on "Rumah Kentang") made "308" which became the # 1 highest grossing horror movie in Indonesia for 2013.
