Honda Premieres WTCC Civic at 2013 Geneva Motor Show

Online, March 15, 2013 (Newswire.com) - As one of the leading Milwaukee area Honda dealers, Russ Darrow Honda is proud to announce that Honda has unveiled their entry into the World Tour Car Championship (WTCC): a specially designed Civic.
This aerodynamically-enhanced Civic actually shares quite a bit with the 2013 model year of the vehicle, although it is specially tuned for racing in the 12-round event that starts in Italy at the end of the month. Improved suspension and braking as well as many different turbocharger and engine enhancements set the WTCC Civic apart from its street counterpart.
While Honda's racing team will surely be spending time behind the wheel of the Civic, Hungary's ZengÅ' Motorsport will also get to take it for a spin during the racing season. Racing fans interested in seeing it in action in person can get tickets for the Race of the United Stated, held on September 8 at the Sonoma Raceway.
Continuing Honda's commitment to fans of their vehicles, the European rounds of the 2013 WTCC will include a "Honda Fan Zone" located in the paddock to give fans an up close view of the world of Honda racing.
Despite the differences between the two models, drivers of the 2013 Civic will still have access to one of Honda's most popular vehicles. The fame of the Civic has been well-earned, and Honda continues with that trend.
In addition to being loaded from the basic LX trim on up with a range of new standard features that other automakers tend to charge for - including amenities such as Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, a rearview camera, Honda's i-MID system, and more - the 2013 Civic also earned the Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
