Celebrities Show Up In Abundance For m.a.m.a. earth and Nenna Yvonne

Los Angeles, CA (I-Newswire) January 19, 2012 - Hollywood hotspot Drai’s recently played host to Nenna Yvonne and m.a.m.a. earth’s celebrity green carpet benefiting the global volunteer organizations Kiwanis International and Ecofficiency.

m.a.m.a. earth is a Los Angeles based non-profit organization that was founded with the intention of creating exciting events that promote incredible music and various art forms in fun and uplifting environments. They are rapidly building a reputation for featuring both up and coming talent (think Grammy award winning Bruno Mars and Far East Movement) along with established legends in the music industry (El Debarge and Andy Vargas, lead singer of Santana). Leading up to Bruno Mars’ meteoric rise to international success, he performed at each and every m.a.m.a. Earth event. m.a.m.a. earth’s previous events have brought out the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Mario Van Peebles and many other famous faces.

The recent event featured music from female pop sensation Nenna Yvonne and island inspired pop/rock chart toppers Common Kings. Nenna is currently charting at No. 8 on the Billboard charts with her hit single, “Go Around.” "Go Around" was recently featured on CBS’s hit show The Mentalist on Thursday night. The Mentalist stars Simon Baker, Robin Tunney, Tim Kang, Amanda Righetti, and Owain Yeoman.

This was Nenna Yvonne’s first annual event to raise awareness for a cause that is very dear to her heart. Nenna is originally from Nigeria, and wanted to give back to the children of her homeland. To date, m.a.m.a. earth has raised money for Nourish The Children, Bumi Sehat Bali, Volunteers of America, Shine On Sierra Leone, The American Red Cross, and many more.

Celebrities in attendance for this amazing event were Grammy Award winning entertainer Bruno Mars and apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas. There were many other celebrities in attendance; photos can be seen at www.4mamaearth.org.

Donations can still be made to m.a.m.a. earth at www.4mamaearth.org
