Hipp Trousley "Conflicted" Review- 2013 was the last year that Hipp Trousley remained in the shadows. 2014 will be the year they set the industry a blaze. For anyone who does not yet know them, go and listen to their album "Conflicted" then you will understand why they will take the world by storm.

Whether it is the first or the hundredth listen, you know that this is a duo that has a plan for world domination. Under the gorgeously layered effects and the driving drumbeats provided by Ronnie DRX, and the provocative, unyielding, and sometimes maniacal lyrics that Tripp Housley spits, you can hear the innovation that they are capable of creating. They are able to push their music to a place that can make you entranced and slightly claustrophobic, but you can not stop listening. This is a rare quality to have when making music. They do not push you away, they patiently wait for you to become entranced and then strike.

They have the talent and intelligence as song writers, arrangers and producers to not only know what will make a good song and what goes where, but to know how to produce and to mix a high quality sonic treat. This is most pronounced on their singles "Bang Bang" and "No More Words." Not only do these songs push you into a new territory, but they are capable and smart enough to work the videos to help drive their message home. They pay no attention to genres and chose to do what they want and have no apologies for it. 2014 will be their year. Mark my words.
