Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards’ Signs National Television Deal to Return in a 4th Qtr. Cable Broadcast

10008 (I-Newswire) July 29, 2011 - New York City – The Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards ‘Induction Ceremony & Concert’ Television show signs a national television deal to return in a fourth quarter 2011 Cable Broadcast. This will be the first broadcast since airing in national syndication and on the BET Cable Network in the 90’s. ‘It has been a long road back for the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards Show, and we are excited about returning to national television’, stated Creator and Executive Producer, James J.T. Thompson.

The show will feature Celebrity hosts with special guest appearances, and performances from some of Hip Hop Music & Cultures most recognizable Artists and Celebrities. Hip Hop Hall of Fame officials are preparing to share with the World the 2011 Hall of Fame Inductee Class with its National Cable Network partner.

The production company and creative team is currently finalizing agreements with Celebrity Talent for the show, and are expected to make continuous announcements over the next few weeks in regards to the Celebrity Hosts, Performers, Presenters, and Corporate Partnerships.

ABOUT THE OFFICIAL HIP HOP HALL OF FAME AND PRODUCER J.T. THOMPSON

Originally created in 1992, the awards show was the first independently produced Hip Hop Awards Show on the BET Network Syndication arm in 1995, and was Label mates with the Source Awards. The Creator, J.T. "J-Train" Thompson, is a Brooklyn Born, Queens, and Harlem raised Hip Hop Connoisseur, transplanted to Los Angeles in his early years where he excelled as a two sport star at Manual Arts HS, served Honorably in the US Army and later as a College Scholarship Student-Athlete. He entered the business as a concert promoter and television producer as a guest of former MCA/Universal artists Pebbles, and the R&B Group the Deele, that featured multi-Grammy Award winning artists/producers BabyFace, and current Island-Def Jam Head L.A. His story was highlighted in the Movie Redemption Starring Oscar winner Jamie Foxx, as J.T. utilized Gang Members on Projects including Restoring the Sear's Hollywood.
