Local eatery to add two new stores by the end of summer
Hilliker Corporation, a St. Louis owned and managed commercial real estate company, continues to personify the region's thriving growth pattern with the help of repeat clientele. Their most recent example: Crushed Red Urban Bake & Chop shop, which opened at 8007 Maryland Ave. in the heart of downtown Clayton, Mo. in Feb. 2012. The 3,300-square-foot stand-alone retail site was rehabbed and transformed from its previous art supply tenant and outfitted with all new utilities and finishings.
Two more Crushed Reds are ready to launch with the help of continued representation by Hilliker Corporation's agent Powell Kalish. A 3,100-square-foot restaurant at 140 S. Kirkwood Rd. in Kirkwood, Mo., which will be located on the ground floor and has apartments overhead, is scheduled to open in May, 2013. It will accommodate 100 patrons inside and 40 outside. A third location, situated at 313. N. Euclid Ave. in the historic Central West End, will open in late summer of 2013. This restaurant will be 5,600-square-foot and feature a 1,500-square-foot kitchen and offer seating for 130 inside and 35 outside. This location also is on the ground floor with apartments above.
The Crushed Red concept is simple, fast and fresh. Customers step into line to order soups, single serve pizzas, and salads that are expertly chopped before their very eyes. Renovation costs for each location are approximately $500,000 for Clayton, $300,000 for Kirkwood and $600,000 for the Central West End.
Hilliker Corporation, which targets regional and national entrepreneurs, is St. Louis' largest locally owned independent commercial real estate company. The firm's agents, who each average over 15 years of experience, have completed more than 10,000 sales and leases for industrial, office, retail and institutional clients since its inception in 1985.
