(www.GAOTek.com) is now offering its high-performance universal programmer that supports more than 8000 devices – more than its predecessors while maintaining the dependability and cost effectiveness enjoyed by the older models. It is capable of handing many different devices including Programmable Read-Only Memory (PROM), Programmable Logic Devices (PLD), flash microcontrollers and serial or parallel memory.
This upgraded universal programmer, model VP380, includes a 48-pin ZIF socket that can be used for 8-pin to 48-pin DIP package devices. It features a high programming speed, test vector capability, multi-array fuse map editor, device insertion detection and poor-pin-contact check. This optimized universal programmer automatically identifies the manufacturer and type of EPROMs and TTL/CMOS logic IC and tests TTL/CMOS logic ICs and dynamic/static random access memory devices. In auto-run mode, it starts programming automatically upon detection of chip insertion. In addition, this universal programmer accepts input from most compilers in JEDEC format including ABEL, CUPL, PALASM, TANGO PLD, or CAD PLD, PLD Designer and ISDATA.
