Healthy Heritage Movement Hosts “Third Annual Honoring The Dream Candle Light Prayer Vigil”

Hundreds expected including business leaders, faith-based leaders, elected officials and citizens to come together in prayer and unity.

Riverside, CA (I-Newswire) January 14, 2013 - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood for peace and equality for all. Healthy Heritage Movement will celebrate Dr. King’s life and legacy at its third annual ‘Honoring the Dream’ Candle Light Prayer Vigil. Founder and C.E.O. Phyllis Y. Clark shares in keeping Dr. King’s dream alive by bringing community leaders and citizens together to pray for this region. The ceremony takes place Monday, January 21 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the City Hall Breezeway, located directly across from Dr. King’s monument on the corners of Main and Ninth streets in downtown Riverside, Calif.

This memorable celebration will include music by saxophonist J. Boykin, and inspirational selections sung in unison. Assembly Member Jose Medina will be one of the keynote speakers, as well as Terry Starks, Senior Pastor of Rubidoux Missionary Baptist Church with a motivational message and prayer. Healthy Heritage Movement invites elected officials, community leaders and residents to gather in unity to pray and honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in an effort to galvanize the community.

Honoring the Dream Candle Light Prayer Vigil has become an annual tradition in Riverside. It is one of many events hosted by Healthy Heritage that parallels their mission to be a catalyst in the community by providing the necessary knowledge and resources to encourage healthier lifestyles in all people… spirit, soul and body.

“Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable… Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the passionate concerns of dedicated individuals.” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
