Hartman Inventory Systems Announces Expansion of Northern Inventory

Grand Rapids, MI (I-Newswire) October 7, 2011 - Northern Inventory established their home and business inventory service in April, 2010, in Anchorage, Alaska. Purchasing a turnkey business package and working with Hartman Inventory Systems confirmed their belief that this was an opportunity to start their business very quickly, and do it better with the knowledge and expertise provided by the Hartman Group.

Keeping it a family business, they have recently created another service territory in West Michigan, also known as Northern Inventory. This office will be led by Jim Irwin, Vice President–Midwest Region. Both Erin McKay, President of Northern Inventory, and Jim Irwin were born and raised in West Michigan. While Erin will continue to operate the Alaska-based business, Jim will establish the West Michigan office and provide the same expert service that Northern Inventory's Alaska customers have come to expect.

“This has come together much faster than we initially thought, thanks to my uncle’s interest in the business,” explained Erin McKay. “Having the Hartmans available to train and continue to mentor Jim allows us to concentrate on our own business while he establishes and grows the West Michigan area. When we were deciding on a company name, we chose Northern Inventory because we always had the thought that we might return to Michigan some day. The name works well with Michigan and Alaska both.”
