The Hart Schaffner Marx “Medal of Honor” navy blue blazer will be manufactured in Chicago (where the company was originally founded nearly 125 years ago) and will feature official MOH gold buttons on the front and sleeves, a special blue lining, the American flag on the interior utility pocket and a label personalized with each MOH recipient's name. Each MOH recipient will travel to a nearby Hart Schaffner Marx partner retailer where his measurements will be taken then forwarded to the Hart Schaffner Marx made-to-measure facility for production.

The Medal of Honor is the highest award for valor in action against an enemy force which can be bestowed upon an individual serving in the Armed Services of the United States. In total, 3,468 medals have been awarded since the first honor was presented on March 25, 1863. Currently, there are only 89 living recipients, the lowest point in its history.
