Hammer Electric - Lancaster Electrical Contractor - Takes Plunge to Online Website Suggests Other Contractors Do the Same

Lancaster, CA (I-Newswire) January 30, 2011 - Lancaster Electrical Contractor Hammer Electric took the plunge and opened up a new website, promoting their own web presence. After seeing the results after only one week and during the construction phase of the online site, Ryan Hammer, the owner is advising other Construction and Contractor Agencies to do the same.

"In this economy, we weren't seeing the revenue coming back from print ads so we had to do something. Contracts have been drying up for some time and it was imperative that we make an effort to catch up to technology," Hammer noted during the interview.

The site is more high tech than your typical template style site which may account for the customer contacts, however, Hammer stated that he felt that a simple site just wasn't enough. It had to be something more extravagant, something to give the customer the feel for the job owners and the custom work that would be done by the company.

"Those simple sites don't catch the consumer's eye, we needed something that was a bold statement, jumped out at the customer and really makes a difference. And so far it has, we've had several calls for service and a couple of job offerings who were specifically referred from the site."

The Flash design and the marketing, Hammer says, is meant to capture the customer and make them realize the type of work they would receive if they used Hammer Electric.

"Times have changed and those phonebook ads cost a ton of money to upkeep and we're not seeing any results. It's kind of sad, because we've put time, money and effort into them for years - but it just isn't working."

When asked what kind of clientele he worked for, Hammer was quick to point out: Business, Industrial, Commercial and Residential Customers - "pretty much everyone."

Hammer wanted to tell other contractors that now is the time to get it done - and to make sure that they spend a little extra time and effort on their sites because that's the image the consumers get.

"I'll share my webmistress after she's done building the site and marketing it - just ask. But we want to see how this pans out. So far, it's been exciting."
