NewPace Technology Development Inc has received GSMA accreditation for its hosted joyn Blackbird Drop 1 release from the GSMA's Rich Communication Services Interoperability Testing group.

Blackbird is the next release of the joyn(SM) branded rich communication experience promoted by the GSMA and based on the Rich Communications Services standards adopted by a growing community of mobile network operators. Features included in the newest release include improved activation of the joyn service and handling of multiple devices, and integration of RCS messaging with existing SMS functionality. Additional developments include improvements to chatting features, additions of file store and forward, group chat file transfer and V-Card sharing, location sharing, in addition to the inclusion of video calling and voice calling functionality.

NewPace's rcsConnect 4.0 Blackbird release delivers the features specified in both the RCS 1.2.2 and RCS 5.1 standards, ensuring partners, clients and customers a superior RCS experience. NewPace continues to lead the development of rich communication service solutions with their rcsConnect platform. rcsConnect can be easily deployed as an all IP-based messaging solution for operators launching VoLTE with complete interoperability to legacy SMS infrastructure.
