Groundbreaking New Nature Film Debuts on Public Television

Emmy Award winning director Jan Nickman inspires wellness for both planet and people, one film at a time. His latest release debuts on public television June 8, 2010 featuring Grammy nominated composer David Arkenstone.

(I-Newswire) June 4, 2010 - Seattle, WA, May 28, 2010 -- Unlike the average nature program, “Echoes of Creation” a groundbreaking new film by Emmy Award winning director Jan Nickman, moves audiences beyond the discussion about nature and instead immerses them into a deeply personal experience with it - an experience that has audiences and critics raving.

Featuring Grammy nominated composer David Arkenstone, “Echoes of Creation” is a unique fusion of picture, music and spoken word that takes the viewer on a one-of-a-kind field trip through the stunning beauty of the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Created with the intention of inspiring the stewardship of our planet, “Echoes of Creation” is the second in a series of films by Nickman that give viewers the sensation of being a part of nature rather than a part from it.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to connect viewers in new and deeply meaningful ways to the natural world.” says Nickman. “If we let it, nature can be a profound source of truth and healing. At a time when so many are under incredible stress and so much of what we see degrades our outlook on life, filmmakers have a tremendous opportunity to inspire health and wellness for our planet and all who live upon it. This is what I strive for in my work.”

“Echoes of Creation” debuts as a pledge drive program on KCTS Channel 9 out of Seattle, Washington on June 8th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. followed by additional airings scheduled for June 9th at 11:00 p.m. and June 10th at 12:00 p.m.

“Echoes of Creation” is produced by Sacred Earth Pictures, a new Seattle area film production company co-founded by Nickman. A former producer/director for KING 5 and former co-founder of Miramar Images, he is known as a pioneering filmmaker and the recipient of two Emmys and a half dozen RIAA certified Double Platinum releases including “Natural States” and “The Mind’s Eye”.
