Marberg brings over 10 years of industry experience to the Green Education Services team, including extensive involvement on Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED®) projects.

New York, NY (I-Newswire) April 14, 2011 - Green Education Services announced today that Marie Marberg, LEED AP BD+C, has joined its New York office as a LEED® Instructor. Marberg will be leading courses on the LEED certification process, including LEED exam preparation and continuing education for credential maintenance.

“We are very excited to have Ms. Marberg joining our East Coast team of instructors,” stated Director of Education Michelle Cottrell. “Marie brings a dynamic balance of classroom and industry experience to the team, and will be an excellent asset to the company and to our students.”

Prior to Green Education Services, Marberg gained valuable industry and project experience at Platt Byard Dovell White Architects LLP, where she was responsible for project management as an Intermediate Architect. During her time there she was involved with the first K-12 school in New York to achieve LEED® Silver Certification. Most recently, Marberg started her own design firm, Marberg Design, with the objective of creating “socially and environmentally conscious buildings, which fold into and support the existing local fabric.” She hopes to bring this passion for sustainable design and construction to the classroom, to teach and inspire others in the field.

Marberg’s valuable teaching experience includes presenting courses on architectural history and design at the University of Florida, College of Design and The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. During her own studies at Florida International University, Miami and the University of Florida, Gainesville, Marberg earned high honors in both her Bachelor and Master of Architecture programs.

Marberg joins Green Education Services as it continues to expand its depth and coverage of LEED® exam preparation and continuing education courses across the U.S. and International markets.
