Grauer School Introduces Free Mobile App

Online, May 28, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The Grauer School announces the introduction of a free mobile Grauer School mobile application (App) designed to run on smartphones and tablet computers. Mobile Apps are utilized to increase productivity for email, calendars and contact databases but have also rapidly expanded into other areas such as mobile games, factory automation and location based services. In this instance, the Grauer School App provides students and parents the convenience of accessing the school newsletter, school calendar and current grade levels for each class along with teacher feedback on a daily basis.

According to Grauer Techonolgy Coordinator, Sean Hauze, who created the App along with Head of School Dr. Stuart Grauer, "What makes this App particularly unique is that it provides online access to the innovative Grauer School 'GradeScape' feature, which allows parents to view what the current grade status is for their child in any given class and what homework may be outstanding. This proprietary function that is unique to Grauer, also gives parents the ability to access teacher-written comments, how students faired on a particular assingment, and what Mastery Learning level they have obtained. Of significant importance to parents is the ability to gain addmittance to real-time threaded e-mail conversations in the Parents Lounge, an interactive forum that provides a platform for parents to engage in direct interaction with other parents and faculty members. In addition, the new App is provided to all Grauer parents and students free of charge."
