Grand Canyon Helicopters Offering Incredible Easter Flight Specials

Take the holiday to whole new level. Flights daily from Las Vegas and South Rim, with some of the best marked down by up to 35%.

Easter Holiday 2014 is fast approaching and if one is considering a Grand Canyon trip than it's advised to check out the flight deals bring offered at Grand Canyon Helicopters.

"Every year the company offers special deals on flights from Las Vegas and South Rim," said Keith Kravitz, owner of Grand Canyon Helicopters. "This year will be no different. In fact, rates are expected to be lower than ever!"

The Rims

Before purchasing a flight, travelers need to know which rim to visit. "There are two: the West Rim and the South Rim," said Kravitz. "Vegas visitors can go to either while tourists in Arizona will do the South Rim."

Las Vegas features and incredible number of flights that include air and landing tours. "The air-only trips are priced to move," noted Kravitz. "These are the trips that go over Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and the Canyon before heading back to Sin City."

It needs to be noted that only Las Vegas helicopters are permitted to fly below the rim and land at the bottom. "This fact alone makes these landing tours extra special," noted Kravitz." Further, and because these trips go to the bottom, visitors need to consider adding a boat ride on the Colorado River."

The Strip or Boulder

Trips from Vegas start from The Strip and Boulder City and leave daily on the hour. "Boulder departures are the cheapest option," said Kravitz. "However, the Strip versions come with stretch limousine and typically require only a 10-minute drive from most major hotels. It's for this reason that there's higher demand for the deluxe tours."

Helicopter tours have a high sellout rate during summer, which is peak travel season at the Canyon. "It's recommended that travelers book helicopter tours at least a week in advance," Kravitz said. "Indeed, some might get lucky and get a seat within 48 hours but for the most part that's an exception to the rule."

As noted, there are no South Rim helicopters that land at the bottom. Thus all flights are aerial, and it's the 50-minute deluxe that's been marked down for Easter. "This particular flight is best of class," said Kravitz. "It basically takes you over 75 percent of the National Park and all its key landmarks. The discount from retail is substantial so now's the time to RSVP."

Airplane & Rafting

The other South Rim Easter air-tour special is the airplane flight that comes with 1-day smooth-water rafting. The trip flies from Grand Canyon Airport to Page, AZ, before transferring passengers to a Jeep for a tour of Antelope Valley. Then it's to the base of Glen Canyon Dam for a 15.3-mile float trip down the Colorado River.

"This float tour has no white water rapids so it's perfect for groups, active seniors and families," Kravitz noted. "In fact, kids as young as four years of age are welcome on this one. Year on year, this is one of the top-selling trips during the Easter Holiday."
