Madrid (I-Newswire) January 16, 2013 - GOWEX (GOW-MAB, ALGOW-NYSE Alternext), a market leader in “Wireless Smart Cities®” and smart Wi-Fi in public transportation, has announced today a roaming agreement with Deutsche Telekom International Carrier Sales & Solutions (ICSS), the international wholesale arm of Deutsche Telekom.

This agreement will allow the expansion of GOWEX’s Wi-Fi connection service to many different European countries, as well as the United States. Moreover, GOWEX will be able to provide its clients with an In-flight Wi-Fi service through Deutsche Telekom’s own premium In-flight service, where available on important international flight routes.


Deutsche Telekom, one of the world’s leading integrated telecommunications companies, is represented in about 50 countries (Germany, Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, the United States, etc.) and counts on its Wi-Fi service with up to 29,000 hotspots located in airports, railway stations, hotels, or restaurants.

Deutsche Telekom ICSS will reinforce its international roaming service through the GOWEX's “Wi-Fi Cities” located in public spaces, public transportation and in 65 cities all around the world (Madrid, Paris, Dublin, Dubai, Buenos Aires, etc.).

GOWEX's Registered Wi-Fi Roaming Platform continues to grow at an exponential rate year on year, representing a core part of the GOWEX recurrent revenue. Revenue for the "network" services (access, roaming, offloading, interconnection) included in GOWEX's Wireless Division increased by 79% between 2010 and 2011.
