He has had one of the most legendary careers in NFL history and is considered one of the best QBs of all time, but is this the end for Green Bay Packers QB Brett Favre? There have been rampant rumors about his retiring before the start of next season, and there have also been rumors that he is coming back for sure. Only time will tell.
Favre has won one Super Bowl, played in two and won three NFL MVP Awards. His play though in recent years at times has been poor, especially in the Packers' home playoff loss to the Vikings this year, only the second time the Packers have ever lost a playoff game at home. The other time was three years ago against Atlanta, a game in which Favre played as well.
"He is simply one of the best ever to play the game, but the end is definitely near for Favre," said Wagerweb.com CEO Dave Johnson. "It's always tough for such an amazing player to come to grips with having to hang it up, but Favre has had some very bad games in big spots recently, and he won't stay around just to play; he wants to win a championship. Wagerweb sources close to Favre have hinted that the decision will be made by March 1st."
