North Atlantic Productions and Beryl Wolk of IMC have formed a joint venture to launch this project with the documentary motion picture:
S.O.S.
S.O.S. will be an amazing documentary of one of the world’s most daring and dangerous marine voyages. As two brothers Ralph and Robert Brown take on giant waves, icebergs, whales, and freezing nights while documenting our changing oceans. The voyage itself actually has tremendous economic, ecological, and humanitarian impact helping to create a better world and provide for global healing.
While the price of fuel is killing the boating industry these two middle-aged brothers are crossing the Atlantic Ocean in a 21 foot open fishing boat, with no cabin and no keel. They will use less fuel than any other gasoline powered vessel to cross the Atlantic Ocean while documenting the beauty and majesty of our North Atlantic and Arctic Rim. This same boat can operate in only inches of water saving the sea grasses and the endangered manatees from injury. If these brothers are successful they will create jobs, save lives, and encourage responsible boating.
With the current trend towards reality TV and shows like Survival Man, Man vs. Wild, and Dangerous Catch; S.O.S. (Save our Seas) will have enormous appeal to create a movement for a better world. The documentary is being filmed for the theatre, TV and DVD.
