Figurines dating back to the stone-age could be the world's oldest pornographic scene.
Archaeologists in Germany discovered what they think are the 7,200 year old remains of two statues depicting a man and woman having sexual intercourse when joined.
A dig in Saxony produced the find and shatters the idea that sex was a forbidden subject in that era. Previously the oldest sexual scenes were found in frescos of around 2,000 years in age.
Dr Harald Stauble says: "... the man and woman were copulating and that he was standing behind her. The copulation option is far more likely, and would make this the oldest representation ever of a pornographic scene."
