It was discovered that J.C. Penny website dominated search results for a large number of keyword phrases across the board. Deeper investigation revealed that a huge number of links with keywords as anchor text have been placed on blogs. A large portion of these blogs were even not related to the keywords. It's quite apparent that these links have been paid for in an attempt to boost the number of links point to J.C. Penny web pages.
