Goba appointed as FRMX/TBAM Digital Guru

After a 10-year hiatus from the Morrison Media halls, Grant “Goba” O’Brien rejoins the moto team as newly-appointed Digital Content Manager of the Freerider MX and Trail Bike Adventure magazine websites: www.freeridermx.com.au and www.tbam.com.

(I-Newswire) March 9, 2010 - Beginning his journalism career as a contributor to the very first issue of Freerider MX, Goba quickly assumed the position of editor to the magazine which has now become the biggest, longest-standing FMX magazine in the world. His time as editor helped stamp the magazine’s authority worldwide as the number one freestyle motocross magazine with a global respect and following. Goba, currently the longest-running contributor to Freerider MX, is as passionate about the magazine today as he was ten years ago.

His interests and experience also span trail and adventure riding which has seen a similar contribution and editorial position with Trail Bike Adventure Magazine, again from the launch of the magazine. Extensive overseas travel and freelance photojournalism have added a new element to Goba’s list of credentials, his understanding of new media and the importance of social networking to further engage with readers makes him the ideal candidate for the newly-created position.

“I’ve been looking for a new challenge of late and this opportunity came just at the right time. I think it’s integral for both mediums to work side by side to give readers and the industry the ultimate outlet for news and advertising,” Goba said.

“Websites are like kids; they need constant feeding. And if you don’t keep new, exciting content coming, people move on quickly as there’s a lot of competition online. I look forward to the challenge of getting both sites cranking,” he said.

About Freerider MX Magazine:
FreeriderMX – an Australasian Freestyle Motocross Magazine launches a competition for a chance to win a centre fold shoot.

FRMX, Australia (February 2nd 2010): The wild & crazy Freestyle Motocross magazine has come up with a new way to find the hottest & sexiest models on the planet. Move over Facebook, Myspace & Twitter - Freerider MX Vixens is your new homepage!

Since its very first issue, Freerider MX Magazine has showcased some of Australia’s finest females. However, you know as well as we do, that one poster of a half-naked hottie every two months isn’t nearly enough… Move over Facebook, Myspace, Twitter - Freerider MX Vixens is your new homepage!
Every issue, the call out is made to Australia’s budding starlets to submit their best pictures to Freerider MX.
“We had an amazing response to the first round of voting, and word is spreading fast among the talent agencies and models that this is a great opportunity to be part of a professional shoot and progress their career,” says Freerider MX editor Simon Makker. “Interested girls can send their three best photos to vixens@freeridermx.com.au, then we’ll shortlist the talent to the eight girls we think have the goods. It’s then up to the reader to vote on the Vixens website as to who they want to see gracing the A2-sized poster in the middle of the next issue. The girl with the highest score after eight weeks will win a paid photoshoot with FRMX’s Tyronne Fitzgerald, who is now regarded as one of the country’s best modeling photographers.”
Not only does the process ensure you get to lay your eyes on a spectacularly gorgeous girl in print every issue, but every day you can jump onto the Vixens homepage and check-out the talent, vote and have a say in who makes it into the next mag.
So what do you reckon? Tweeting about what you had for breakfast? Ignoring another mindless group request? Or browsing through some of the hottest girls on-line? We think it’s a pretty easy decision…
