Global Flying Hospitals launches its gift to America, the Health 4 America initiative

Humanitarian medical charities usually function in the developing world, until now!

(I-Newswire) March 20, 2010 - Today, in the USA, over 47 million are under-insured or uninsured … which means limited or no access to medical care. And 44,789 on average die each year due to a lack of health care. This is why the whole US government is in deep turmoil over their healthcare situation … and are fighting toe to toe to try to fix it.

Recently, the WHO ranked the USA against 191 countries other in terms of "fairness", at 54th, slightly ahead of Chad and Rwanda, but just behind Bangladesh!

Global Flying Hospitals is the Logistics Resource to the world's humanitarian medical charities, and are busy establishing worldwide, in order to provide free medical care to the two billion suffering people on our planet who have absolutely no access to care, however in recognizing the dismal shortfall in the USA they have created the Health 4 America initiative as a gift to the USA and the American people; who also cannot afford nor have access to healthcare. This tremendous gift , in a nutshell, is a project of launching a 20-city, mega-clinics of 3-days apiece, with the target of providing free medical healthcare checks and treatments to well over 200,000 people.

Neill Newton, Chairman and Founder of Global Flying Hospitals; states: “Because of the sophistication of the USA, launching such mega clinics is not as daunting as working in developing countries, where volunteers, venues, equipment and sponsors are more readily available. This means we can expect a tremendous turnout and a huge success for those seeking treatments and health checks, which is so crucial for these people.”

Newton further states: “Abraham Lincoln stated that you cannot build up the weak by pulling down the strong. The USA is a great nation and has helped many other countries. Now, at the time of their greatest need, when their economy is in deep problems and their health care in terrible shape, it is imperative and paramount for their friends to step in and assist, and to help them recapture their strength”.

The Board of Global Flying Hospitals resolved to launch the free medical clinics after research demonstrated that past smaller free clinics by well respected groups as RAM, and others, were always well attended. This motivated Global Flying Hospitals to move ahead and do something very substantial for the American people who truly are in need of help. Tens of thousands go into bankruptcy over the healthcare needs, others cannot even receive a straightforward dental procedure, a pap smear or a health check, as they simply cannot afford such luxury.

Global Flying Hospitals has partnered with the Jay Brown Network, to launch a fundraising arm in order to provide funds for the 20 mega events. Funds are needed to rent venues, security, transport, marketing, utilities, service fees etc. The fundraising project is called; The Sundance King, and is designed to invite a million plus people to donate just $10 by handphone texting, to support the grand H4A initiative.

Donors are invited to text the message: GFH, to the number; 85944, and $10 is billed to their account.

The Health 4 America initiate will run from 2010 through to December 2011
